The new season

The spring is on its way and we are thinking about the up coming season. We have just sold our 2008 Rockwood Tent Trailer and replaced it with an identical 2011 model. We take possession early May just in time for the spring long weekend. At this time we still have some trailers available for the May 24 weekend. The summer months are starting to book up already so if you are thinking of going camping and thinking of renting a pop up trailer get your inquiry in earlier than later. Each year, especially when the school breaks have started, we have to turn business away due to that fact we have no trailers left.

Our B&B has undergone another upgrade this past winter with our soon to be finished en suite bedroom. The Spruce room that can sleep 3 now has an entrance from the bedroom and into the renovated bathroom.

Work to our basement suite with outside access to the swimming pool and hot tub was finished last spring. It contains a Kitchenette, full 4 piece bathroom , living room (with a sofa bed) and 2 bedrooms. In total we can accommodate 7 persons in the suite. Adjacent to the suite we have our newly refurbished bar (please bring your own beverages), a recreation room with a computer station (WiFi accessible throughout the B&B), a large 42 " plasma tv, books movies, games etc.

Our Self contained Condo in Collingwood still has plenty of rental time available for the summer. This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom 2nd floor unit that can accommodate a family of 6. Collingwood is situated in what is known as the 4 season cottage country, with a short drive to the Muskoka region and even closer drive to Wasaga Beach, a 14km freshwater beach, known to be the longest freshwater beach in the world. Collingwood itself can boast about the ski area of Blue Mountain that in the summer is a haven for mountain bikers. The village at Blue is worth a visit, owned in part by Intrawest and built in the same design as Whistler and Tremblent. Many shops restaurants and a waterpark are situated there to keep everyone happy. Blue Mountain itself is situated on the Niagara Escarpment, a Unesco heritage site. The escarpment is used by many for hiking, bird watching, rock climbing, mountain biking. It is many hundred kilometres long covering a distance from Niagara Falls, passing by Burlington and also Collingwood and ending at the tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Tobermoray, 800 km of trails.  http://brucetrail.org/

On an end note. We started our business to help our daughter who is now on the Canadian National snowboard team. She competes and travels all over the world. We are very proud of her accomplishments so far but we know the best is yet to come. She is a new competitor on the world cup circuit and finding her feet at that level. If you wish to follow her in her quest for that Olympic dream visit her website at MarianneLeeson.com and check out her blog.
